Cannot find image link in forum

I ain't gett'in any younger, so be gentle.

When I want to post a pic on a forum I am not seeing the image link at the very bottom left of screen.
Therefore all my posts/pics are attachments which is not the best of presentations.

I have tried using different browsers but to no avail.
Any help, advice etc would be gratefully received.

If you are not seeing the "image box" in the bottom LH corner of your screen (on the black bar) as shown in the last image of this help thread https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards...?tid=68256 then could it be because you have no images in the "My Files" area to display?

If not then the help thread tells you how to upload some................

Is that too complicated?

I uploaded the file prior to starting my post some day's ago, could it be too BIG.

You won't believe this but as if by magic the Image Box Icon has appeared bottom left of screen.

When I clicked post, the Icon disappeared, that's OK as I am leaving the page, now I am in Edit post mode the Image Box is not available.

The "window icon" is only visible and available for use once you select either "New Thread" or "New Reply".



I would suggest using "preview post" as many times as you wish as the "window icon" will be available for use.

Once you select "post reply" the "window icon" will not be visible or useable any more.

Thanks to all for your prompt response and advice, managed to insert the file into the post after a couple of attempts. Guess I need more practice.

Indeed, practise makes perfect!!

A workaround if you wish to add a image when in edit mode is to open a new tab in your web browser and go into the forum as normal, create a post and click the "image box" and the code for the image will appear in the new box, copy and paste that code into your post in edit mode and when you click "Save Changes" the image will be visible!

You can then bin the post you took the code from.

The image icon does not appear in the Quick Reply mode. One has to be in the full post editor mode (Post a New Reply) to access the icon.
There are several different ways to get to the full post editor. Clicking Preview Post below the Quick Reply box is a quick way to do this. Clicking New Reply at the top of any thread is another quick way.

Having images uploaded to your profile storage area is not required. Images from other cloud based storage systems will work. You just have to format the url correctly with the proper Mybb code.
