Thumbs_Up  Team games
I wanted to go on record as saying that my first team contest turned into four in a very short time.

Cudo's to all my opponents, who have been most active.

My 2x2's are averaging a complete turn every 5-6 days and one of my 3x3's is averaging one move per week!

I realize that team games are a "long haul" but, I wanted to let my opponents, team members and board members know that they can and are going to be completed in a timely manner :)

Great going guys and thanks,

Pat

RE: Team games
I like the idea of the call the ball system, I'd be up for a team game using that. Up until now I've only played teamgames with the a, b, c system and they tend to break down due to a slow turnaround.

Of course no matter what system is used having dedicated team mates and communication are the real keys to success...........but yeah......team games are the still the best :-)

RE: Team games
Thank you for the "call the ball" idea, great option for team games.

As Von Earlmann noted, participant commitment is the key.

Still, life circumstances can adversely effect even the most enthusiastic and commited players turn rate and some flexability among the remaining participants can save a game.

I'm in a 3x3 that has replaced a player and another 3x3 where we have agreed to allow 2 players to make all the team moves for a couple of turns while the 3rd player addresses a commitment to earning a living.

I have made partial moves because of limited game time and my team mates have finished my moves so as to maintain a timely turn rate.

I suppose that some sort of pre-game agreement addressing potential player turn rate problems might prove of benefit.

RE: Team games
Great to have you on board MG should be fun as the battle is heating up as you enter the fray. I must say im also in another team game 2x2 with myself and relayer against glint and tiger88 in the WF scenario a close run thing (salerno landings) its been an excellent game played very well by all and lots of fun banter going back and forth. We are achieving turn rates of 3 a week. Great stuff !
