RE: D'85: BRM lacking Amphibious capability?
But Leopard-I (105-mm gun) is weaker than T-64, T-72, T-80 (125-mm gun).Leopard-I worse armoured, and also has more out-of-date systems fire control.

Depends what variant of Leopard your talking about and what year, by 1989 i would say the Leo1A5, which armor wise had a better turret than everything up to a BV equip tank but the chassis was shite. Could barely stop a RPG. As for FCS well nothing the Soviets had could match the Leo1a5 till the T-80U. U can put a 188mm gun on a tank but if u cant hit anything who cares. Thats just one mans opinion im sure theres many more.

In 1985 (Danube Front ' 85) was Leopard-1A4 and it was worse on many parameters, than T-64, T-72, T-80.

Epoletov [SPR Wrote:.]
Luchs-Leopard-I = 16 (probably 50/50 % Luchs/Leopard-I)

More like 75-25. The German reconnaisance battalion was quite tank heavy w. 34 Leopard Is (M48s earlier) to 10 Luchs (Spz Kurz earlier). So the reason they have a higher assault value might simply be because they have more tanks.
