I was watching a news report about a women that woke up at 4 in the morning to discover her child still playing a video game.
She called 911?
Made me think about how things have changed over the years in terms of being "allow" to discipline your child.
When I was in grammer school my teacher would use a ruler on our knuckles. In junior high it was swats with a wooden paddle.
I remember telling my mother one day, after she had threatened to spank me, that I would report her to the police.
She said she would glady call the chief of police for me and after she had finished spanking me that the chief would gladly do so also
Don't get me wrong. My parent never beat me, they just occasionally swatted me or twisted an ear. I had it coming and it did cause me to give some consideration to things that I knew I shouldn't be doing.
I'm first in line in opposition to child abuse, but a swat on a diaper is a far cry from abuse.
