Question About Bombers In Large Scn's.

I am playing a huge West Front Scn. and this is my first time playing with actual bombers and recon planes on the map.....my question is can they bomb heavy bridges and can i use them against other planes that may be on the map. (enemy Planes that is) shooting them down????
