Those are specs from a budget laptop, OK when new, but nearing it's end-of-life. Two things you can do to speed it up: increase the RAM to 8 megs minimum and swap the mechanical hard drive for an SSD. Windows 7 has two more years on it before Microsoft stops supporting it.

Personally, I don't think it's worth investing money in, but if you went with an SSD you could at least take it out and use it in another computer when the current laptop goes away. Probably not with the RAM.
