Working on my next scenario and going threw the HPS values, changing a few and found many wonders of the world but heres one that stands out.

ART TRK 18 4 7 8 0 16 8 0 2 0 0 12 10 10 0 SP 122mm 2S1 Howitzer
ART TRK 18 4 8 10 0 18 10 0 2 0 0 12 10 10 0 SP 152mm 2S3 Howitzer

Towed or SP they all have movement rate of 10, Armoured or towed they all have defense of 12, and best of all an assault value of 10!!!!!!

Now i can understand the movement even though the SP should have a higher movement rate it doesnt have to stop and set up it just needs to step on the gas, SP should have higher defense value because its armoured, the M109 has a 16 for defense. But an assault value of 10 (M109 has a 0) well i guess u can run your SP 122mm into a battalion of men with the main gun blasting and the coax hammering away, then u come to the howitzer being towed by a truck, well it would be fun to see them charging an infantry batt or even a batt of leopards, that would be a sight to c.

One thing your missing here is a SP Arty units is a HARD Target, so it would be fired on by HARD values only. The net result is the 12 Def is a much stronger value as a result.

Maybe the towed guns could be a little slower, but as you know the movement is the speed with which the unit could move - not one limbered gun.

On the assault values - well, I can't say as I've ever assault Arty myself, some people think it should be easy - some people say charging guns is not easy.

In any case, the base values were set in FG85 by someone else and of course you can pick your own values if you don't like ours.
