RE: Canuck Commandos?
Hm... Did any Canadians work with the British commandos for Operation Jubilee (Dieppe)?

The 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion joined with the 6th British Airborne Division. http://www.commando.org/history.php

This cryptic note actually translates into Section "W", Royal Marine Commandos. It would appear that the only official Canadian participation with the "Commandos" was formation of section "W" of the Royal Marines commandos for the D-Day landings. This section, composed mostly of Canadians, was used just for this operation. Given the same training as the original commandos, the Royal Marine commando's mission was to go in with the assault waves to help secure the beachhead and then to act as beach masters to bring order out of chaos and to get the troops off the beach as fast as possible.

Thanks for the tip.
