how does one join a tournament, when can you joina tournament?

Normally there will be an announcement here on the MB. The tournament owner will let people know and that sign up is being accepted and the parameters of the game. There is normally a link on the tournament page (found under G3) for the sign up. Once a tourny is under way the only way to get in is as a replacement player for those who drop out (which always occurs).

Of the tournys running now one is about to finish (Iraq) and one is half done (Good Hunting).

I am mulling over ideas for my third tourny, with several on the board but that will be a month or so away still.

The big thing with tournys is rate of play is normally about 3 turns per week, and you must be able to commit to a long term since most tournys take about a year to complete for four rounds.
