Off topic/Rome Total War&Vista
Any of you smart computer guy's know how to get Rome Total War by Sega to work on Vista. I know that Vista OS is alittle shakey.

Know of any work around or such drivers or what ever.

I got a new lap top for christmas that has Vista on it.

RTW works fine on Vista.

Works fine here too =)

Rome works fine on Vista but you cant edit text files so now unplayable factions sadly...

There are two ways around that. Right click on the file and click on properties, then look under the security tab.
Edit the permissions to allow everyone to modify/edit the file.
The other way just involves moving the file to your desktop, making the changes, and then just putting it back when you're done.

RE: Off topic/Rome Total War&Vista
I thought it ran OK with Vista, i do know that the game doesn't like some makes of laptop e.g. Dell.

Your best bet is to send your DXDIAG to the support guys on the RTW forums, they helped me in the past before.

cheers
