Even Shermans Need Love
Okay, M4 Shermans weren't the greatest tank of WW2!...

But when they do great deeds in a 30 (fixed) turn 2000-pt. QB/ME, they deserve some accolades!

Lt Springer's and Sgt Darland's were 2 of 4 surviving Shermans out of a platoon of 5 (a pretty good survival rate).

Here is an end-game photo of the pair, with 2 smoking Marders in the distance. Each of these 2 Shermans had a respectable kill count!

(Not to mention, all 8 enemy Marders in the fight were KOed, and 1 by even a 60mm mortar crew.)

More amazing Sherman records!!??

2000 pt. QB, CMAK, Large Town.

4 Shermans (only 1 was eliminated before the end) accounted for these kills:

>>19 Inf casualties, and 1 mortar
>>48 Inf, and 1 SPW
>>20 Inf
>>55 Inf, and 2 SPW's

140 (+) Inf kills total by these few tanks....2 Shermans alone racked up over 100 together...!!??

(The Sherms accomplished virtually all of this by demolishing defended heavy-buildings, unopposed for the most part...[notice a flamethrower team still having a smoke atop the lead Sherman at the end of the lop-sided battle].)

Eek
