I just bought a laptop with Vista.
The JTCS ran ok except any PBEM .bte files games, they won't run, just a black screen with sound of the battle running.
Any ideas guys?

It looks like either a version difference between you and your opponent, or the .map file is missing from the PBEM game you are playing. Both cases result in a black screen while the game seems to be running as far as I know. Are you sure you have correctly upgraded to 1.04?
Some people (including myself) accidentally installed the update in the wrong directory at first, resulting in a black screen in PBEM games.
