Close assault?
Is it better to engage standing up or from "to ground"? I've witnessed both good and bad results in both situations.

Thanks :-)

Being 'on ground' does not penalize you, and you don't expose yourself to op fire when you get up.

I'd always assumed that assaulting from a ground position would mean you are less vulnerable to op fire but this is just an assumption. I'm sure this was discussed some distant time in the past.

I always go to ground first, I remember reading something about it in one of the Getting Started tutorials.

I think that it states this in the "Grunt School" liner notes included in The Korean War. In any case I seem to get more favorable results if my men assault after they've been ordered to go to ground.
