Infantry guns in bunkers in PzC

Are indirect fire capable infantry guns like the sIG33 supposed to benefit from bunkers? I was surprised that my infantry gun units in Bokhino for Moscow '42 could be targeted normally from 1 hex away by Soviet Rifle units (with a range 0 HA value) even though they were in a bunker hex.

I couldn't find an exception concerning the infantry guns in the manual, but maybe I missed it.

Edit: Found the reason, mortar-class units don't benefit from bunkers in PzC (the Soviet mortars can also be targeted in bunkers).
