Artillery another type of result
Following on from the bunker busting thread I wonder if there is any mileage in considering another form of artillery result.
I know this would be a major change so unlikely but for what it is worth here it is
I thought about suggesting more disruption results but that would make it too easy to capture bunkers.
Then I thought 1 turn of suppression not good as often return fire inflicts more loss than your own fire
So my idea is suppression for 1 turn during which the defender defends fires etc at half strength
This would not reduce morale and not be disrupted so retreating would not be a given.
I know this may not be possible but it might be worth considering as an optional rule or for the next game

RE: Artillery another type of result
I have only seen No Effect against trench hexes - I know these are not bunkers. But it seems there should be some negative consequence to artillery. Maybe it is because there are fewer guns. But it would make the defenders keep their heads down. Is suppression represented or is it part of fatigue.
