It has instructions for hiding an update. So uninstall it then follow those instructions to keep it from coming back. And if you are suspicious of the show hide update utility - I was too - so I searched for it independently and found this link on MS support page:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help...er-updates
Hope that helps.
Thanks a lot. Will give it a try as soon as I can.

RE: Latest Windows 10 update
It has been a while but I was finally able to get around to install the troubleshooter. Seems to have worked, that update is hidden from my system. According to Windows anyways. Thanks a lot A Canadian Cat.

RE: Latest Windows 10 update
Does anyone run Windows 10 in "S mode?" My wife recently purchased a new laptop and it was equipped with Windows 10 in S mode. I was wondering if S mode interfered with game programs, specifically in my case JTS games.
Is there any down side to disabling S mode on a Windows 10 machine?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Windows 10 S mode is new. It's supposed to offer more security and is designed for "lighter devices" and yes, I had to look that up.
I suspect your laptop is meant for people who mostly browse the web and maybe do some light emailing, like a chromebook or a tablet. It limits you to app downloads from the windows store and that's probably what they mean by more security.
Once you turn it off, you can't turn it back on. Here's some details and how to turn it off: https://youtu.be/OX-LwZZVQT4
Personally, I wouldn't want it, but that's me.
Hope that helps,
Dave

RE: Latest Windows 10 update
Thanks Dave. We'll probably get rid of S mode. It sounds like it could really limit the capabilities of a machine.
