Ok, its been updated one more time. This should do it for a while now as I have addressed most of the feedback. Also, if you started any scenarios in the last version you should be able to update it and see the changes take effect without any problems. I encourage people to try #0710_01a_Prokhorovka_S_Alt with a partner to get the quickest feel for the changes. It is very fun indeed.

Here are the recent changes in version IX:

-Corrected German 87mm (e) howitzer rating (captured British 25-pdr guns).

-Corrected the attack ratings for German-SS Pz Gren (Mot) units (they previously had ratings for SS Motorized Infantry units).

-Altered ratings on units of class: Armored Car (see text below) in v.VI description. Basically these units resistance to assaults and direct / indirect fire has been improved to represent their specialty in concealment and rapid mobility (their ability to break contact within the given hex).

-Corrected German AAA halftrack speed ratings.

-Increased bicycle speed (from previous ALT version) from 6 to 8. This is the same speed as cavalry but the cavalry have better cross country mobility where the bicycle is strictly useful on roads. The change is done because, for the most part, a unit mounted on bicycles would be able maintain a sustained travel rate of twice that of a unit conducting a foot march.

-Adjusted Allied / Axis replacement levels to 3% / 3% respectively.

-Converted all German and German-SS Panzer Grenadier units that where motorized to soft halftrack to represent their Opel Maultier vehicles that was now in widespread use on the East Front at the end of 1942. The result is that these units in T mode are slightly slower than their truck borne counterparts, but they are much more mobile when the ground turns soft or muddy (which was the reason they were developed in the first place; that is in response to the experience in the Russian mud of 1941).

(also, in the notes file it states that the optional rules selection recommendation has been updated. If you actually look at the image it contains a rule added recently, Quality Fatigue Modifier. This rule has yet to make it into the game... but when it does you should use it since this was made with it in mind --although in the mean time it should make that much of a difference).
