MBT Heli reload time delay
I am currently playing a game and my 2 hinds I sent back for reloads. They have been parked for 5 turns now next to ammo units but they have not been resupplied in any weapons slot. Bug? Or is there a command for this in the set-up?

If they are landed and there is no other unit using the dump then it is a bug.

How about this: winspww2 froze about five times this morning when I tried to lay smoke or plot arty, game was not responding and didn't recover. Had to kill it from task manager.

General SP
please send me a save from this game, if you can. I'd like to see it and report to developers and betatest team.

Vesku
do you have a save from before that happened ? Can you duplicate this ? I mean was it happening in the same point ?
Can you send me (by email) more detailed info and a save ?

thanx

General SP:

Were there any other units in range of the ammo units (and remember that immobile depots have a supply range of 2 hexes)? If so these might have been resupplied first. Also if the ammo unit has taken casualties and/or is heavily suppressed it may not be able to resupply 'heavy' weapons (such as ATGM's)

Hello Guys,

Yep - I've had the same issue.. in a previous unfinished game I had Cobra's that were sitting on the ground in the same hex as a dedicated ammo supply unit.. after 5 turns of no re-loads I gave it up and instructed the pilot to do some useful scouting work..

RE: MBT Heli reload time delay
Supression interferes with reloading. I'm not sure to what extent, sometimes a few points doesn't seem to matter, others it does.
Is the AH landed? They do not re-supply while in flight.
Also the relosd thingie does HE first ands goes SLot by slot, so If your AH has a large ammo supply on it's main gun (slot 1), then it will reload ALL that first, then it will go down and reload any HE rockets. Then it reloads AP rounds on the main gun, then at last it rloads the Heat rounds for the ATGM's, then the HEast rockets. That is why I make a practice of trying not to use my chain gun during my fire phase. I save it for Op fire and Counter AD fire. I just use my ATGM's during my fire phase if that is possible. That way when I go back to reload my Chain gun, I can get right to te ATGM's. Or that is what I did back when I played with AH's and Ammo trucks. I don't anymore. If there are AH's, then there are no ammo trucks. It would be nice if the game had a realistic ammo load out so ammo trucks could be done away with.

Hiya Grumbler

Actually no suppression at all. They both have been in the landed mode for the last turns now. The ammo vehicles they are next to are also supplying some arty units and have since dedicated the ammo units to the helis so I will see what happens there.

I'll bet that does it. I've been house cleaning all day. I am going to take a nap once the last load of sheets is done, then I'll get to our WW2 game. I have to take the nap first so I don't fall asleep in mid turn. WW2 is sorta slow. W@W is also, I think it is the time period. I have noticed that MBT plays slow also when you use WW2 era kit.
