Problem with waw

I had to format my windows partition and reinstall most software including waw. Now I can't get past the first page without crashing the game, did I forget something in the install? I've installed H2H too and that has the same problem, first page comes out fine but no matter which button I choose from that the game crashes leaving a black screen.

:conf: Sounds like a graphics memory problem, are you starting the game with the MECH.exe or spwaw.exe file?

Both act the same.

Problem solved! It was my uninstalled sound card drivers that crashed the game. Once I got my sounds working h2h also started to work just fine.
