Calling Reddog - El Alamein

Calling Reddog - El Alamein
Hey Reddog, I have completed my move for El Alamein - actually finished it 2 nights ago. I resent it last night after it looks like you didn't receive the re-sent turn last night.

I'll resend it again, but it looks like our e-mails aren't communicating. I have your mail address as [email protected] Sound off if that's not correct.

Talk to ya later, John G.

Commander JG:

I'm not sure what's happening because our lines of commo were open but we'll work this out some how. I just checked my email and still no message from you. Send the file to our CiC Tiger88 and have him forward it to me. Post here when you have sent him the file and I'll check here often, over. :smoke:

RE: Calling Reddog - El Alamein
Gary, I just e-mailed tiger88 / Steve Malsom my latest completed move (that I finished a few days back) and added a tidbit that he needs to forward it to you.

As far as I can tell, you're the only one not recieving my mail. There was a problem once with Scorched Earth (Robert Cousin) not getting my mail, but it seems the problem was on his end (he changed e-mail programs and there were no probs after that).

Also, I'm *receiving* your e-mails just fine. :chin:

Commander JG:

I just received your file from Tiger88 this morning but I've got bad news. You may have already figured out by my last email to you that everyone else has moved except you and me. Therefore your last with your moves on it is no good. :conf:

You'll need to redo your moves onto the current file that I received last night.

I'll try and send you an email explaining more details of what happened later today or tonight. :smoke:

The email you have listed for me is correct!

RE: Calling Reddog - El Alamein
Hi Reddog; yes I figured I would have to replay. No big deal, my move takes only about a half hour and there was no combat. :whis:

By the way, I am still receiving your e-mails just fine. They just don't want to go *back* to you, for some reason. :conf:

Also, I did get an error message saying either you had your mail turned off or that your server was down (i.e. the problem is probably on your end). Said the "shaw.ca" of your mail was unreachable/bad host or something along those lines.

Talk to you later! :smoke:

RE: Calling Reddog - El Alamein
Steve, Gary, my moves have been completed and you should have rec'd the file just now. Thanks for e-mailing me the file earlier today.

After you two finish your moves, the allies ought to get their turn again.

RE: Calling Reddog - El Alamein
Hi Gary, I'm glad *you* received an e-mail directly from me. It took a long time for it's way to work through the system though. Here is that error message you wanted to see (which I rec'd twice in the last few days)

.net 007: This e-mail message was undeliverable due to the
following reason:

.net 015: The destination mail system was not reachable withing the
allowed period.

Note: This error message is usually due to one of the following
network problems:
a. The recipient's mail system is turned off.
b. The destination mail system is not currently running.

Solution:
Attempt to resend, or contact the recipient by alternate means to
let them know about the issue.

Your message was not delivered within 3 days and 0 hours.
Host shaw.ca is not responding.

The following recipients did not receive this message:

<[email protected]>

Weird, eh? What's strange is how it seems to go through sometimes and not at other times. I'll do some checking at my end - something somewhere changed. Maybe your spam filter thinks my messages are spam? Well, according to my avatar... :P
