Brian Jennings' Wacht am Rhein scenario install

Question for anyone who has installed Brian Jennings' Wacht am Rhein scenario found at Glenn's site.

The installation notes say, "Extract the contents of the zipfiles to any location on your computer and copy and paste into your Bulge44 folder. None of the files should overwrite any original files or Volcano Mans update which I am sure many people already have installed.".

However, there are common file names in this scenario and Volcano's recent Bulge44_Unit_Portraits. For example, in the Canadian units folder, there are .bmp files that will be replaced if one responds "yes to all". I do not want to crunch Volcano's updates, but when I start this scenario without the unit .bmps copied, some of the units do not have images. Any thoughts?
