RE: Problems with new Normandy campaign from Jon Sowden?
Yep. That's one of the reasons I'm working on a v2 of that one. The problem is that those trucks 'inherited' a 1 hex scatter from some other units I was doing about the same time (probably air-dropped supply to one of the para divs), and it wasn't noticed. It's a while since I fixed it, but I'm pretty sure it only affects the trucks on two days, and of course not all of those trucks will scatter backwards into the water - some will go forward, others will go sideways.

I know it's annoying, but there should be enough trucks coming in that it won't make a great deal of difference, even if you just leave them sitting in the water.

One quick fix to get those trucks moving is to
1) create a copy of your PDT file,
2) rename the original to [originalname].old
3) edit the value for MOT on water (currently it'll be zero (0)) to some other value in the copy (5 would work),
4) rename the copy to [originalname].pdt
5) start the game and move the trucks onshore (and avoid moving anything else across the water that shouldn't)
6) save the turn and shut down
7) delete the copy you just used
8) rename [originalname].old to [originalname].pdt
9) carry on as normal.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Jon

Oh - could you tell me what the combat unit was? I've not seen that before.
