Less then 6 games of MBT and I'll negoiate a draw with you before we start, unless, of course, you win. Then you get what you earned.:hissy:

Ok, How about Soviets vs Italians? Mid 70's or so? M/E, 120 x120, random air What ever you feel comfortable with as far as arty. I would like to cut the ammo resupply to a pair of ammo dumps. I think it keeps AH's from completly dominating the game. Brsides it's sort of gamey to expect an AH to completly re-arm in 10 minutes or so. Not that the 'B' echelon would carry ammo for an AH. I will put it in your old slot.

Sounds good to me :)

Not that the attack helis in the 70;s are that effective anyhow. Usually the missile technology in these years is a bit crude.

On the way. I looked at the Italian AH's and they didn't have a lot to offer. SS-11's, which don't float my boat. That's OK, you dance with the one what brung you. It is possible to kill a T-72 with an M-60, given a lbit of luck.

Wow who would expect anything from the Italians in the '70's or otherwise...

Sounds like a gutsy move to take them vs. the Soviets but then I don't own a copy of MBT...

Nah, the Italians are not bad troops. Actually they never were. In WW2 there were a lot of jokes told about them, but the facts are that given the kit and officers they had, they did as well as could be expected. Germans with Italian officers and Italian equipment would not have done any better, Rommel said "Properly led, the Italians are as good as anyone"..
Remember, Officers were selected n the basis of who their daddy was and how much they could pay for thier appointment. Merit was not a consideration. That changed after WW2. Italy got up to NATO standard pretty quick. In Win MBT, the Italian base is 70, which is actually higher then the Soviets (65 IIRC), So General SP will NEED those T-72's.
The Italian Naval Commandos were among the best troops of ANY country in WW2. That is because their officers were not professional military. They were amateurs answering the call of the motherland in it's hour of need.
Prolly the second best thing abut NATO was how it brought all the minor European nations up to a minimum standard. The Italians had to meet the same benchmarks as the Belgums, Dutch, Gemany, Swedes and US, just to name a few. In yearly competitions, the US almost always came in last during the 70's
