I don't doubt it, but German claims should be scrutinized as well.
I agree completely, which is why I said "anyone". If someone came on the thread talking about Rudel's 500 claimed tank kills, I'd be challenging that in a second. They're all high, but some categories are demonstrably higher than others, and air to ground kills of armour is one of them.
Sorry for misinterpreting your stance on the Sherman.
