Tall hedges question.
Can tanks move through tall hedges?

I always thought that they could but very slowly, the reason i ask is that in a bocage scenario i am playing i am moving my Shermans through tall hedges without any problems but in a CMAK scenario set in Italy i am playing i can't for love nor money get a Tiger to move through a tall hedge. :conf:

I know that in real life Allied tanks had those special attachments fitted for breaking through the bocage hedgerows. Is that modeled on the stats for Shermans and not the German AFV's? Or is it left to the scenario designer or is there more than one type of tall hedge available in CMAK.

cheers

RE: Tall hedges question.
Allied tanks can move through hedges after, ermm....July 44?.....because of the reason you mentioned (the hedgerow cutters).

Axis ones can't, sorry.

RE: Tall hedges question.
IIRC
Axis Pzs can still charge the hedge so that their gun pops through and they achieve LOS in front and can shoot through but ofcourse only reversing back is possible then when trying to maneuvre...but I could be wrong on this. I just had a nasty flashback of my Shermans being shot to pieces by few ambushed Panthers shooting through hedge like that...
