CMAK World Cup Mundial !
Hi
CMHQ-PL is inviting Blitz players to international CMAK -Cup
I think it could be fun because of historical-scenario approach and international CM community engaged.

What do you think about it ? and who wants to play to become
The CMAK World Champion :) ?

Please post your names in this topic

Scetch of the rules below:
Rules of The CMHQPL CMAK Challenge Cup competition 2007 (version 1.1)
1. OVERVIEW
1.1. The objective of this competition is to provide players from Poland and other countries with an opportunity to test their skills against one another with the winner being awarded the title of Polish International CMAK Champion.

1.2. All participants shall be given ribbons for participation in the competition (only players who complete their games will be eligible for ribbons) and there will be a special ribbon for the winner. Additional awards may be presented at the Cup Committee's discretion.

2. ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
2.1. Participation in the Competition shall be open to:

a) players registered with CMHQPL;
b) players from other CM Clubs who have accepted the invitation sent by the Cup Committee.

2.2. All entries for the competition should be submitted by 31st March 2007.

2.3. The Cup Committee (cf. Art. 5.3) may reject the application of any player to participate in the competition at its entire discretion.

3. ORGANISATION OF THE COMPETITION
3.1. All players participating in the Competition shall be bound by and comply with the Competition Rules.

3.2. The competition shall be played according to the cup (knock-out) system. The players competing in each round of the competition shall be drawn in couples by the Umpire. The couples shall play two battles according to the same set-up parameters switching sides (the so-called mirror game). The player who scores the greater aggregate of percentage points in the two matches qualifies for the next stage. Once a battle reaches the half way point (turn 15) it may be concluded at any time by using the (Alt + C) keyboard command (ceasefire) providing both players agree to resolve the game in this manner.

3.3. All battles should be played PBEM unless both players agree to TCP/IP subject to the provisions of Article 4.9 below.

3.4. The competition shall consist of:

first round (64 players)
round of 32
round of 16
quarter-finals
semi-finals
final

3.5. In the first round:

a) top 15 players in the CMHQPL CMAK ranking shall not be drawn against each other;
b) foreign players from the same club will not be drawn against each other.

3.6. If a player who has advanced to the round of 32 or any subsequent stage withdraws from the competition not later than 7 days after the start of the round, such a player will be replaced by the player with the highest aggregate score from among those who were eliminated in the previous round. After this deadline there will be no replacements and the opponent of the player who has dropped out shall automatically advance to the next round.

3.7. Battles will be played using the Quick battle generator according to the game set-up parameters provided by the Umpire. Everyone will play on the same map selected by the Umpire. Such a map will be available for downloading and viewing prior to the round start date. The map will change each round.

3.8. Battles will be played over approximately 30 turns. Map sizes may vary and they will depend on the battle parameters.

3.9. Each round will be played over 60-day period. Start and finish dates will be announced by the Umpire.

4. PLAYERS' RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1. After the draw for each round is made and announced 'Axis' players start up the battle selecting applicable Quick Battle parameters and loading the map provided and email the first file to their opponents.

4.2. Each player shall:

a) advise the Umpire about the start of the game and within 7 days of the start date of the round shall send his first PBEM file with the password to the Umpires email address;
b) inform the Umpire on a weekly basis abut the progress of the game, stating the number of the last turn processed;
c) inform the Umpire about the outcome of the battle once it is completed by sending his final PBEM file to the Umpires email address;
d) abide by the rules of fair play and good sportsmanship.

4.3. If a player cannot process a turn for more than 3 days he is obliged to advise his opponent.

4.4. Any player intending to withdraw from the competition or forced to do so due to circumstances beyond his control should notify the Umpire and the opposing player as soon as possible.

4.5. If 4 (four) weeks after the round starting date less than 45 files have been exchanged (15 turns have been processed), the Umpire may start monitoring the time it takes for turns to be processed urging both players to exchange PBEM files as frequently as possible and send copies to the Umpires email address.

4.6. A player, who despite being warned by the Umpire, continues to delay turn processing may be disqualified upon the joint decision of the Umpire and the Cup Committee.

4.7. A player who disappears and is not heard from for more than two weeks shall be disqualified immediately.

4.8. A battle which at the end of the round has reached at least 23rd turn may be concluded by CF using the passwords available to the Umpire.

4.9. If it is impossible to determine which player is responsible for delaying the game, and the game has not reached at least 23rd turn and a mutual cease-fire has not been agreed upon, both players will be disqualified.

4.10. If both players agree to TCP/IP they must communicate their intention to the Umpire as soon as possible. The date for a TCP/IP battle must be set at least two weeks before the end of the round, otherwise provisions of sections 4.5-9 will apply.
