c_Question Mark  Possible tool for campaigns.
I found an interesting site/tool for playing old boardgames PBEM. It also looks like it may have some uses for editing or Campaign management. A poor man's COCAT? It's Cyberboard.

And here is a site for games to upload.

I'm working with SPI's Oil War! an old fav of mine from the 70s.

You need to find copies of the rules online though.

Ummmm, you did'nt say you wanted to play Battletech before.....I have a program... It is a little jerky but I played some Aussie fellow.

It is, however NOT a PBEM. It is live. So someone loses sleep.

Gentlemen,

Another useful program and some links,

Vassel - Java program with many modules for old and new games, very active community.

http://www.vassalengine.org/community/index.php

Also another site which list just about every program to play games via the internet or email, can be tough to navigate, but worth a look.

http://pbem.brainiac.com/

Wargamer's Academy -
These guys makes some excellent mods for the vassel program.

Hope this helps,

Good Luck

I'm using CyberBoard for the Operation Compass Campaign. Of course you have to create the maps and all the icons/markers but it's not too much work if you keep it small.

I had some others tell me how they are using TOAW as a sort of substitute for COCAT. Players cannot really move their forces BUT it allows tracking of location and force OOB's to some degree.

TOAW never used.

There there are greater opportunities for editing ?

In what difference from COCAT.

What advantages TOAW in comparison with COCAT ?
