RE: Germany 2 anyone?
As far as i can see its valid...
theres no real way to say if a unit will retreat 'under' an
enemy helo unit. [cause helo zocs dont block]
Lets just say there would be so much disruption in such a retreat it
'might' result in over-run of unit.

I'd do it myself, probably will in driving WP back over elbe.

RE: Germany 2 anyone?
I have a tip. When we played the FG81 campaign we used the house rule of not allowing helicopters to end their turn adjacent to an enemy unit. Same also for helicopter infantry. This allowed blocking of retreats but not to an unrealistic level.

Englelbrekt

My 2 cents

Nice workaround.
I cant demand such of course but can ask WP to
do so. Were starting to get to limmits of 'gamey'.
In such a case its really up to player
Do they think 14 M1a1's would not retreat under a few Mi24's ?
or any 'unlanded helo'
An M1 Co commander with 30 to 90 advancing WP tanks in front.
And 4 hovering Mil24's behind
Told to 'pull back ASAP' would do so.
If i was that CC M1 i'd say, FU, here we go. And no sov helo element commander is stupid. They exist to assist attacks and to laterally harras
nato movement, not to independantly block major unit retreats.
Also terrain. under trees the helo's loose major potential
in blocking
But a depleated inf Co in open would 'be blocked'...
It depends on context and house rules cannot cover such.
As Elxaime has said to me. no-one wants heartburn over house rules.
