Points ratio?
I should know this, but what is a good or fair points ratio for a assault/defend game in MBT?

RE: Points ratio?
Military tradition is 3 to 1 against a hasty ( less then 24 hours) defense. 5 to 1 for prepared defenses. Remember these are ratios that are supposed to guarantee a victory for the attacker.
So I guess to make it a balanced match, 2 or 2.5 to one would be about right. What you might want to try is turning off the V-flags and agreeing on objectives. I'm just finishing an advance delay right now that I used a 2 to 1, but the vis range is 14 and my opponent has 40 vision gear, so it's working out ok so far. He is killing about 3 of my units for each tank he loses, but I am gaining ground. It's an interesting battle.

RE: Points ratio?
1.75 to 1 is quite well balanced if the sides are equal in quality, 2 to 1 mostly ends up in attackers victory.

Not if i'm the attacker.....no ones wastes units quite like i can.
I need about a 10 to 1 ratio as attacker, then they run out of ammo and i still have units left to stroll up casual like and slap them in the face with a fresh kipper until they surrender. ;)

Terrain matters, as does time.

How many beers you drink before the set-up is the most important factor.

Yes, and it keeps affecting every turn you play too.
