Map help, please!
I'm re-fighting the battle of Crecy, only jumped up to 1948. I found a map on the Web and re-proded it in SP. When I go to set up, the French are on the English side and vise versa. I have tried switching sides in the map editor and it either didn't work or I did something wrong. So how do I get the sides switched? It matters since the position was chosen for it's defensive abilities and the brits will need them defending against a 3 to 1 assault.

There is one way to deceive WinSPMBT.
For example, Russian almost always are on east party map.
Way such.
We buy HQ that country which is at deploy armies on the necessary party.
And then, other armies undertake by means of button " Allied ".
P.S.: All it is quickly checked (on what party deploy armies of this or that country) by means of "Editor".

Epoletov, there is a way to do it without fooling the program, I just cannot remember how. I'm getting old and no longer have a razor sharp mind. Or anything else, now that I think of it.
Epoletov, будет дорога сделать ее без околпачивать программу, я как раз не могут вспомнить как. I'm получая стары и no longer не имеют разум диеза бритвы. Или что-нибудь еще, now that я подумаю его.

I'll remember eventually. I know it is something simple I have been having a serious bout of sinusitis the last week or so. Benn popping tylenoll and Asprin like they were 'ludes. I'm about to step up to some tylenol 3. It's wrecking havoc with my already intermittent thought processes.
Or something like that. I'm sure it's caused by global warming, which means if I lock algore in the freezer, it will get better.

If I remember this right first you go to editor, load your map and then press edit. Once your map opens you press the lowest left button, the one with blue and green arrows (which changes the map sides). You also have to change the places of retreat and reinforcement hexes by pressing numbers 0,2,3,4, and 5 for the other and 1,6,7,8 and 9 for the other. Then just save the map. Did this help?

That is for WaW, but I'll try it with MBT. Got nothing to lose but a minute.

RE: Map help, please!
No joy! I actually read the manual and it didn't help a bit. That ain't right!
The Manual says go to the deploy menu and use the ~ key to switch sides, then return to the editor and save. I did that and the Brits STILL defend on the right, and I need them on the left. I then tried making the French the 2nd player and that made no difference. I have one last thing to do, whih is to set up a scenario and then exit back to the editor, save the map and try it from there. Logically, that shouldn't make any difference, but I'm starting to think logic doesn't have much to do with it. I have games backing up, so I'm about to cross this off as a bad job.

RE: Map help, please!
It is not clear, so it is bad to have another's HQ, and other armies what it is necessary?
How offered earlier?
Or take both armies identical.
Then at one of them the flag will be black color.
And further having taken only one HQ - unit, take that army what want, having pressed button " Allied ".
P.S.: I hope SP CAMO in new Patch will eliminate this lack.

RE: Map help, please!
Communicatios problem.
I want to set up a modern ( well, post Great Patriotic War) re-enactment of the Battle of Crecy;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Cr%C3%A9cy
Not a very accurate article, but close enough to give you the idea.
So I HAVE to have a French Assault on an English defense. Since the battle field was chosen by the Ebglish King for it's defensive potential, if the two sides don't follow the same pattern, there is no point to the battle.
