I remembered them from the RN and mostly because of the BBC broadcast made near the start of when the luftwaffe where bombing the conveys in the english channel. Think they were using stukas in this clip.

I think that in "Saving private Ryan" there was nice use of that weapon :)

in cmbo I always wanted to use the quad 20mm because of the saving private ryan movie.

Thinking about it now, I was so green at CM it makes me laugh. I would buy the gun with no transport and just try to walk it around to different places.

I remember doing that in two different instances. Once against the AI where I was able to ambush some poor GIs.

Another time against a human. I pushed it out into a valley and decided I better not go any further, so I just got the gun ready and sat in some brush. I dont think it fired the entire game.

But actually, I did win both games. go figure.

what is even more funny - I just realized I did the same thing in round 1 of vulture's new tourney. I bought a quad-20mm with no transport. Was going to push it to the front of some woods, but fullhouse raced some units to where it was going. So it just sat in the woods all game and didnt do anything.

I guess I still have a fascination with it - definitely because of saving private ryan. :)
