Crew Cost and Victory Points

Crew Cost and Victory Points
I have just noticed that the crew points are now very high: same as the vehicle they come from.

But I dont understand how victory points are computed.

I shoot a 150 points cost tank. It is destroyed. The crew is killed in the process. I get 150 victory points, ok ?
Now I shoot the same tank. It is destroyed. I get 150 points. But the crew survives. Then I kill the 150 points crew. Do I get a total of 300 points ??

RE: Crew Cost and Victory Points
You mean that in a classical pbem meeting engagement, the crew has a low value ?

But for scenarios, crews have the same value as their tank. So the total victory points value in scenario may vary from a 1 to 2 ratio depending on the crew survival (an then killing) ?? That's quite a flaw !

RE: Crew Cost and Victory Points
Game created after pressing button " Battle " gives cost Crew = 0 pts.

Game created посkе does pressing of button " Editor " Crew by cost to equal price Vechicle.

Well to make in WinSP cost of some divisions with " - XXX " Pts.
For example civilians. :)

RE: Crew Cost and Victory Points
If you really want to know, look at the unit roster on the last turn. The numbers in red are the point values if the units you have lost.
Or at least they used to be. I ran a test back in 98 or so with the first release of SPCammo's WW2 (I forget the number, it was the first time units got an extra op-fire shot). I could add up the red numbers of my unit roster and then add in the points for flags to get my opponents score. My opponent could then do that with his unit roster to get my score. The two scores were what was reported at the end of the game.
If you want to check and see if that is still the way it works, let the rest of us know, please. It would also be interesting to know if those points cross foot with the points for crews in the Encyclopedia. From a systems POV it makes sense that they would. It's a lot less trouble to use an existing data base then creating a new one.

RE: Crew Cost and Victory Points
Good idea, Grumbler. I'll do the calculation.
On a small scenario. :)

RE: Crew Cost and Victory Points
So... Epoletov and Grumbler are right.

For scenarios, crews are worth as much as their vehicle and if destroyed their cost is added to the victory points. Also note that damage costs are too added to the victory points but damages are small amounts.

To me, this is a huge flaw of the game. In a scenario, you destroy a tank with his crew inside. Reward: 200 points (for example). Fine. Now you destroy the tank. Reward: 200 points. Crew won't die. You kill it when it's routed (fairly easy). Reward: 200 more...

That makes the Excel Score Sheet all the more worthy: emphasis is now on flags taken, not on unit destruction.

RE: Crew Cost and Victory Points
IMHO, The SPCammo group is oriented more toward PBEM then solo play. I don't know that, it just looks that way comparing the original and the Matrix groups work to SPCammo.
