You are learning that "the stack" does not always work. :)

You on crack mate? I WON this game or hadn't you noticed?
Them 3 Tigs are alive and well but the 4 Firefs are dead meat..
I've been using tight stacks in 600 CM games over the past 5 years and they've got me to the top of 3 ladders so I must be doing something right..
Oh, and that was the 9th Tigs v Firefs game I've played here in Blitz and I haven't been beaten yet.. ;)
I do lose sometime though, now send the next file so we can finish our game, you'll be the first Blitz player to have an AAR entitled "Herroberst beats POS", I can live with 'Played 10, lost 1'

Russia, Africa, Europe....my stacks dominate the known universe..

PS - Even SWAT copy my tight stack tactics..

Hey Skeet, what advice would you give anybody foolish enough to go up against one of my tight stacks in loose sloppy dribs and drabs?

RE: POS beats SCHWERPUNKT (Fireflies v Tigers)
Happy to try and keep making my point in future games. :) Stack only works if opponent comes at it singly. I think air and pakfronts, and keyhold sniping are the key to countering the dreaded POS stack. :)

RE: POS beats SCHWERPUNKT (Fireflies v Tigers)
Stack only works,well....if you play on a map like POS's map with POS's units and with POS's parameters Big Grin Make the map a little wider with more open spaces and you might find your nice wolf pack burning after taking shoots from the sides/rear :smoke: Change the Tigers/Shermans with let's say 5 Stugs with 80mm front armor and 10 T34/76,play with the T34s,keep them tightly grouped and see what happens...:smg:

Wide maps, narrow maps, my hunting packs dominate wherever they're assigned like here when my Rumanian R-2's beat a T-26 horde to pulp. See how his tanks come trundling out from behind the trees in useless dribs and drabs like ducks at a shooting gallery..
I say again to all my opponents, I'm always going to fight tight, but if you want to fight sloppy, go ahead. Please..:)
No kidding, if I begin a game and I see my opponent operating his armour in tight hunting packs, I think "Uh-oh I better watch out, this guy knows how to punch"..

I suppose I could forward photo's of what happens to "tight hunting packs" in two large-scale (Bragration and Good Hunting) recent games against me... masses of tight burning armor, i.e. upwards of forty tanks, vehicles each, but I won't convince a ornery cuss like you anyway :)

That's the best strategy (trying not to convince an ornery cuss of his shortcomings). POS will never yield his convictions. He excels at maps and force picks that he can control and suit his parameters. To his credit, he is an excellent tank commander. But you do not need me to hear it from... just ask Spike.

: )

Now leave the tripple ladder leader be! Lest he flash his medals at you!

; )

Cheers!

Leto
