GERMAN

An at-a-glance series of charts comparing gun capabilities.
Example -the 128 ATG has a phenomenal penetration of over 200mm with AP-shot (red dot), but less than 100mm with HE (green dot).
Note - some guns could fire a mix of shot, but tungsten and hollow-charge were often not available early in the war.
Note - yellow asterisks denote low-velocity guns (under 400 metres per sec muzz velocity), and were inaccurate at longer ranges.
PS - ammo quality and technology improved during the war, I've shown the best ammo in all my charts, so bear in mind that earlier in the war certain ammo types may not have had quite the same punch, (for example German 75mm HC was weaker earlier on)

BRITISH

ATG's shouldn't count on getting tungsten and HE early on.

RE: Gun ratings
A note on the German infantry guns:

The Germans introduced an improved 75mm hollow charge round in late 1944. In both CMBB and CMAK, in October 1944 the penetration of 75mm shaped charges abruptly improves by about 31%, rather more suddenly than happened in history.
