I find it crazy that a foot leader requires transport of equal value to the leader's rating. A leader with a 3 should be able to mount a HT or other vehicle with a 1.

That is my arguement that they should be the same as dismounted units. what is the difference... same gun. same ammo. just more armor

Not same ammo, I would think......no way the halftrack would be carrying as much ammo for the MG as a six man MG42 HMG team expecting to engage in sustained fire. Given that a CS scenario spans hours or even days, I think ammo supply should be reflected in actual firepower.

Does anyone know how much Mg42 ammo the Sd251/1 carried specifically for its mounted MG? I know that US HT's, for example, had as standard only 2-300 rounds (although I bet they stocked up with more if they could).

They can, as far as I know. If they can't, it sounds like a bug.
