Hit the insert image button on the message screen. It looks like a picture of a couple of mountains with a setting sun over the top.

I tried that. Only it prompted me for a URL with the HTTP:/ prefix.
That tells me that a link can be established between a particular web sites image and this message board, etc..
Or am I wrong!?

No you are right for example I linked the Blitz logo below by using that method. It means that the picture must be on a publicly accessible server and you must know the URL, like this;
www.theblitz.club/message_boards/images/blitzkrieg_logo_blue.jpg
[Image: blitzkrieg_logo_blue.jpg]

Yes you could. Another way would to be to setup an account at one of the photoshare sites like photobucket and the URL (http link) would point to the photo there. Either way would work.

Yes you can John simply link the images you have there to here using that URL code.

easiest and best is a free photobucket account.. www.photobucket.com

it uploads painlessly from your PC, to their server AND provides you with a 1 click copy the code and paste into your thread function.

VERY simple and excellent service.

Bitmap images are often blurry and temperamental when trying to copy them into forums etc so I never use 'em, I always convert them to easier-to-handle neater JPEG or PNG format first.
(Simply 'Open' a bitmap in Irfanview then save it as Jpeg or png)
