junk2drive Wrote:Hey British Tommy, welcome back. Hope you get back into scenario design.

I bought the originals in the spring as I was impatient for the new ones. I pondered for a while before making the purchase. $35 USD is not a lot for the dl version these days. I could see that everyone here was going over to the Matrix Edition and can see that a lot of the complaints about the originals are trying to be fixed in the ME. New units and new features means that new scens will be done while the old ones will be abandoned.

Meanwhile I have fun with Divided Ground with the mods. A break from WWII.
Impatiently waiting for the Brigade and Matrix to work on DG.

I'd like to PBEM with you. Our time difference and my weekends only playtime means not very many turns a week though.
Hi J2D!
Been awhile since I last saw any of your postings at the Proving grounds. I will need awhile to get back into the games because I have only accessed the scenarios with the view of converting them to CM (haven't played them for years!). Will keep you in mind mate when I'm up to speed! :)

This is like a family reunion! :)
Had some great battles against you in the past. Remember that HUGE EF one we played? :eek1:
Hope you and your family are keeping well. Did you ever buy any of the CM games? :chin:

Pip Roberts Wrote:Hi Bob,
I hope the welcoming messages bring you back to CS Matrix. One of it's greatest features is that one can access all CS discs without inserting them!! No more worries about disc changing or disc corruption.
You will find that Jason and his team have made some fine new additions which will keep this great old game alive and even growing for the future.
Yes, I too remember yoiu as a tough opponent and have admired your skills at rebalancing some ot the old CS games and adapting CS scenarios to CM.
Welcome back to the future!

My mate from Australia! :)
How you keeping?
No need to use the disc in the drive?....BRILLIANT!!! :)
Iwill get some of these bills out the way and then fork out for the set.
Will I need to uninstall Talonsoft WF and EF2 before installing the Matrix versions??

Nope. The default install puts the TS in a TS folder and Matrix in a Matrix folder. You just need to keep track of where you dump new files. The shortcut to Matrix opens a menu with all 3 games ready for clicking so your old shortcuts are fine for TSCS.[/quote]

RE: What's new??
Yes I do, they are still removing wrecks at Storm 555, there were too many !

About CM I am not up to date, but managed in various ways to get CMBO and CMBB. Nicht Africa. In these games the fog of war is still very dense for me.......
Just to taste the old mood, our Gianni is still in Rome, closed for good with CS and switched to 1/35 tank modelling (I guess all M13/40s and derivated...), but we are out of comms since long time.
I am in career here in the Blitz and have little news. My son is by now six old and is supposed to learn to read and write in these days.
Surely soon or later we'll have some games again.
Cheers

Gio
