Bolt out of the blue is awsome and is what should of been out of the box. You did a great job and should be applauded. You did such a good job I have to wonder...what is your next project? K85 in a 1989? I know there has to be some improvements there. I know by looking at orders of battle that the 25th INF is a not right, but ayway great job hope you have something else up your sleeve!

RE: Tazaaron
Gentlemen of the Blitz

I entirely agree with the comments of Titan - this is a stunning presentation, and whilst, without doubt, there have been probs in getting to this point, the end result justifies the frustrations.

This guy has cordinated the efforts of numerous resources and inputs from many countries, and in his on personal time, created a superb piece of work which should (will ...) become a classic, and deserves recognition ( Red Devil  please note my previous mail)

Any fan of NGP/FG owes it to themself to invest a bit of effort and load this baby.

Here is the Viva la difference.....

a) Nato gets to move its forward defence/screen units before the Pact crosses the border
b)superb strategy options for both the defence on offence on both sides
c)enhanced AA capabilties for both sides to deal with the alledged "gamey" aspects of Helo/airmobile play
d)West German home defence units - mobile and immobile
e)Congestion - simulating everybody moving to the UK (jest)
f)Unit values re-evaluated, giving a more balanced appreciation of capability
g)New OOB and units - the balace (IMO) is right

Not much more I can say ........ give it a whirl .....its a different game

Well worth the investment in time and effort, and if anybody wants a helping hand in setting it up, please feel free to give me a shout

THIS IS BRILLIANT - please make the effort to support the lad

11/10 to Aaron and his team

Cheers cheers

Chris

RE: Tazaaron
Not to mention the Netherlands has engineering units and lots of them! MP units in the Victory location for both sides that are fixed to prevent gamey tactics. Also NATO has a lot more Artillery. I could go on and on, but this is really good.

RE: Tazaaron
Hey thanks guys, alot of time has been put into it and theres still more going into it. Every thing is set up for the south and just waiting on HPS and intill then theres some PBEM games going on that im monitoring and all seem pretty good, going to make a few adjustments here and there so when the south does come out all ill have to do is add on the extra units and strategys and adjust AI. Right now almost all of the graphics are being redone and u have seen a fraction of them on Michals post and i have talked to Glenn and when the game is done u will be able to download game and graphics from his web site which will make things alot easier for all of us.
Thank again and we will keep plugging away a some little things.

Aaron

PS. I do have a working version of K89, but i havnt even played past turn 10, havnt had time, ive been cheating on MC and playing Company of Heros right now.

RE: Tazaaron
Ill take u up on that offer but first i havnt ported over any graphics yet and theres some other stuff that has to be cleaned up in the .pdt and values on units have to be gone threw again because i didnt think i would do the K89 it just happened one day when i was bored and i cant remember if i did them all. I took Volcano mans Chinese mod and redid the oob and the communist hordes AI which runs well i dont think ull be stopping them on the border this time. Added some Aussies and New Zealand units along with 3 US light divisions and 2 marine divisions plus ranger batt and SF batt, the story goes as the Bolt out of the Blue scenario is happening the North attacks so there is no duplicate units between the 2 mods. Im thinking HPS is about to release a new MC (south germany maybe) so dont know when ill get to it have to finish my baby first the BOLT with a southern map.
