Talonsoft ACW games and Vista
HiHi
Anyone out there know anything about getting Talonsoft ACW games to play on Vista (have regestered at Red Devils link (cheers for that RD) but waiting email to activate).
Any Tips or advise would be appreciated.

I don't know this for sure but my guess is that, like the Talonsoft Campaign Series games (Rising Sun, etc.) they won't work properly on Vista.

The campaign series works on vista and all hps games the thing you have to do is
Right click on the desk top icon of the game scroll down to properties
click on compatility and the put a tick in the disable desk top composition.
the games will run fine,
one more thing for hps games whem you install the game
dont save game to programs folder but make a folder in my computer and then save game in there.

[font=Times New Roman][size=large]HiHi
Cheers for responding Birdermann, and for the advise, I have desided to cut corners and have ordered the Vista ready games from Matrix, then IF  anyone responds with a challenge I can play the battles out on either system (Vista or Win 98SE).

Hi,
would love to play a BG game if you still have some room, preferrably a shorter scenario with ADF on.

RE: Talonsoft ACW games and Vista
HiHi
Sorry Lars, I wont play with ADF on, I just don't see the point in having the AI shootoff at anything in sight (Waggons, leaders etc, bad for Rebs as well if trying to save ammo), the game takes longer I know, but Hellfire, I ain't in a rush! :)
But if you can overcome that, I'm Ok for say, 'Out of the Mists' all optional rules on except ADF (that OK with you ?) your call re side. I see you have played 'South mountin', I ain't so I would only play Rebs there, if you have any other suggestions get back to me either here at Blitz or via email.
All the best

Is anyone running Battleground 9 Chickamauga on Windows XP (home edition)?
Ignore the question lads. A kind soul has pointed me in the right direction and the problem is now fixed.
Here's the link if anyone requires it in the future.
