Mobile defense scenario
Looking for a scenario which has a mobile defensive setup. Infantry division(s) forming the main line of defense which is pressed into a retreating, delaying action and a mobile panzer reserve to be used when and where the player want to.

A scenario that give the player a lot of options how to use the panzer units. Reinforce the line or allow the enemy through only to cut him off and isolate him?

There's got to be scenarios like that, it's just that there are so many I've not looked through all of them. Any recommendations from veteran players? I have all east front titles but Budapest '45.

RE: Mobile defense scenario
Check out "The Flashing Sword of Retribution." aka FSRGold. It is a ~420 moves long, and covers Operation Star, Operation Gallop and Von Manstein's Backhand Blow (VMBB). This is the most classic and studied mobile operation defensive campaign, perhaps of all time. It has Axis infantry fleeing before vengeful Soviets, and the eventual evolution of VMBB...if the Axis player can last that long.

You can find it in the scenario depot, and it runs with the Kharkov disk.

RE: Mobile defense scenario
Wow, huge scenario! How long does it take to play one of those, a year? While I'd love to get into that, are there any similar scenarios of smaller scale? :)

Edit: By the way, how do you install these scenarios, just extract them to the game folder?

RE: Mobile defense scenario
I am half way through a match with Typhoon - I think we have been playing about 2 years. How - as long you want. One move a week = 8 years; 2 moves a day = 30 weeks...

Download the file and unzip it to the Kharkov folder...
