Battles

Any idea how to either:
a. Swap sides of the map in a "battle" (i.e. not scenario editor) seems to be constrained by date.
b. Get Air strikes for Germans in May/June 1940 (again battle not editor).

A: Map sides depend on country. I.e. Germany will always start on the RIGHT side unless it faces another RIGHT nation. Then Germany or the other country will be moved to the LEFT.

The only workaround is to use two temporary countries and then buy the troops for the desired nations as allies. The victory hex flags will be wrong but you can choose map side.

It's possible to get only one side "wrong". You want a Canada (LEFT) vs. Germany (RIGHT) battle but you want the Germans on the left side.

Setup a Soviet (RIGHT) vs. Germany (RIGHT) battle.
The Germans will be moved to the left side.
Buy the Canadians as Soviet allies.
Buy the Germans as Germans..

B: Preferences -> Air Sorties. (XXX = random)

I guess you wind up with a soviet commander though too eh? I guess it dosn't matter except for the look of the thing.
