RE: Technical Question
I just did a test of CMBB on my games rig which uses a 8800GTX, i normally play on my old media rig with it's 6600, it seemed to run fine and i tried a few turns just to make sure and all seemed stable. One thing, i didn't bother patching the game but i can't imagine the patches would bork things up !!!

cheers

RE: Technical Question
Well it worked for me.....guess you'd best ask your mates in that shop for advice.

All i can say is that it's an 8800 GTX 640mb and so far all three CMx1 games have seemed fine under short term testing......whether they'd go screwy after a while i can't say.

:conf:

cheers

RE: Technical Question
You must be a very lucky man because if you have a look on the battlefront tech help forum you will see that there is a whole load of sadness with CM and the 8000 series cards

RE: Technical Question
Cmbo/ bb/ ak are around 4 to 6 years old, so you'd think Battlefront would bring out fixes to make them compatible with modern hardware..
We all love BF for giving us the cmbo/ bb/ ak series, but the company's direction since then has drawn some criticism, there's a discussion thread about it going on here -

MEH!

Well i've got no reason to lie to AC.......like i said i normally play on an older PC so i've no idea how stable the game is over a long period of time.

Believe me or don't believe me it's your choice.

RE: Technical Question
Bidermann, you could try creating a user profile that uses another graphics card (pci 32/64MB card). In one profile you would be using the pci-express slot on the other profile the pci graphics card (or what other slot you would have the graphics card installed). You should be able to buy a cheap 32 or 64MB graphics card which can be used with CM.

So when you boot your pc you would have the option of choosing a differnent configuration or use the default.

This could be a possible solution.

I do not have vista so cannot try the solution.
