Matrix patch release date
Like many, I rushed to download the 1.03 patch.

Keeping up with the Joneses was a mistake on my part.

I saved a turn after artillery fire, finished the move and my opponent had trouble with it.

After viewing my air attack and arty, the game cycled and my opponent had control of my units?????

We agreed to replay the entire turn without my saving it and everything was normal. Of course, I realize that according to the rules I may be sanctioned for the admitted replay and stand ready for my punishment.

If I remain a member in good standing after this post, I am notifying my current opponents that I will not be making any further moves until such time as Matrix has released the final 1.03 version.

I can only hope that will be sometime this monthFiery

Well that is new. Certainly didn't come across that in playtesting. I will check again tonight.

Perchance that issue has something to do with the Save Game Counter, it would be the only piece of code that would interact with the file at that point

Griz,

I do not know if this is the patch. This has happened to me about 2 times in so many years. I open the file & am looking at my opponents units. I had them rezip the file & it corrected itself.

Good luck.

RE: Matrix patch release date
Maybe not a patch problem?

We didn't try replaying the turn by re zipping the file.

Perhaps a glitch with the file itself. Since we both had just downloaded the new patch and this had never happened to either of us in a 100+ games, it seemed logical to place the blame on the new patch. A jump to a conclusion that may have been premature.

I just tried to replicate this last night and I was unable to, so I am unsure if this is related to the patch, you didn't do this on the first turn did you? As you can get full access to your opponents units on the first turn, if you reopen the game after you have played, as they have not yet set a password

RE: Matrix patch release date
That kind of thing happened a couple of time to me even before the Matrix edition but it's been a good while.

RE: Matrix patch release date
It wasn't the first turn Digger. It was turn 7 or 8.

It was the first turn we played in a game we started with 1.02 and had both just downloaded 1.03.

Again, I'm not blaming the patch, just came up at a peculiar time.
