CMAK Operation
I'd like to try on of the CMAK ops. they all look pretty cool except no BLUT & EHRE, that one takes way too long. I'll try any side, and I'm not so cocky as to not just surrender if you have kicked my arse completely. I'd rather do that then deal with a game dragging out for months at one turn a week.
I'll play either side. my only demand would be at least 4 turns a week (that's 4 I send 1 to you, you send 1 to me a week). I know vacations happen but if you can't play for more than a week let me know.
any takers?

RE: CMAK Operation
Instead of an operation you can also try my Clervaux battle.
2nd panzer attacks on the first day towards Clervaux.
Look for the title on the depot : Clervaux, deathtrap for 110th inf regiment.
2 regiments on either side with 120+ turns on a big map.

RE: CMAK Operation
I took a look at it and...

I'm afraid too many units will run out of ammo completely in 120 turns. maybe if you split it up into an operation with 4 battles it might work better.
that and you need to switch the height from 8m to something like 2m. otherwise some of the roads are practically on cliffs; which is a little steeper than I would expect in belgium.
the map look pretty cool otherwise.

RE: CMAK Operation
Actually,

The map is as accurate as can be with the editor restrictions in mind.
The hills arond clervaux are even steeper than in this map.
I have spend 3 days touring through the area making all kinds of pictures and notes.
The map itself took about 5 weeks to create.
The ammo isnt a problem, if you play this well the allied defender never know what hits him :)
Try it and you will find out, it plays very well against the AI too.

RE: CMAK Operation
I recently played Clervaux: Death of 110th as Allies agains Ken F.

I agree with Bluehand, the battle should be broken into sub sections.

I did begin to run out of ammunition and that affected my ability to deal with the German advance - then again, if that is what your tryin to model then it should be an AI only game.

Just my opinion, not a criticism. I might play it again - the blind play experience was fun.

RE: CMAK Operation
Its always good to get to know peoples opinion.
Any critic(positive or negative) is good, but only if its constructive.
It gives a designer the ability to make changes and fix errors.
In my playtesting, and others who did playtest as well, most people did have no problems with ammolevels.
Try not to get bogged down into static fights, keep mobile!
Do you happen to have a saved game file?
