HELP - got a wierd problem
I just tried to send a zipped file to my JTCS WF folder and it no longer exists?

I've got EF and RS, but no WF?

Tried system restore back to last night when all was OK, but still no WF?

Any suggestions?

If I put in the disk, can I download just WF and if I can, must I then download the 1.03 patch? At least I put the unzipped patch on a disk, so I won't have to spend 1 plus hours downloading it.

Or, is it just best to start from scratch - delete JTCS and start fresh?

WF still appears on my desk top, but when I tried to play a game versus AI, I got an error message and it would not open the game.

Any ideas are welcome.

Pat

Pat don't delete anything yet. try playing a WF scenario first. if it works you just might not be seeing the folder.

You might want to look in your East Front or Rising Sun folders to see if the West Front folder accidently was misplaced into one of them.

Additionally, take a look in your Recycling Bin.

Hope it's around there somewhere!

RE: HELP - got a wierd problem
Tried to open a game in WF.

Message was: Error running the application; contact Matrix support; error number 486?

I played an EF turn and everything worked fine, but then EF appears.

Could not find WF in EF or in RS?

If I reload the JTCS again, should I first delete the files?

Thank you,

Pat

Yes, might as well delete (or uninstall if it lets you) everything and then reinstall. Don't forget to add the latest patch. (Update button should work on a clean install).

RE: HELP - got a wierd problem
Thanks Jason,

I have the 1.03 update application file on a CD. Do you think that would be OK.

Jason -

I removed and reloaded JTCS.

Do I have to download all the previous patches or just 1.03

Thank you so very much.

RE: HELP - got a wierd problem
My understanding is 1.03 is inclusive. If you look at the Matrix downloads, it lists just 1.03.

RE: HELP - got a wierd problem
That is correct, 1.03 is a comprehensive UPDATE. (1.01, 1.02, 1.02b & 1.03)
