I used to make the drive from Kansas City to little ol' Herington, KS every year at Christmas to my grandparents house. Most of the time we took I-70 throught Topeka to Junction City and then south to Herington, but sometimes if we had more time we'd go through Ottawa and Council Grove. Not sure I like the Kansas winter, but the day I retire I'm moving back to somewhere in the midwest, and hopefully to a town with less than 10,000 people. 300 might be a tad small though....
