MapMod
Hi all
I thought it was time to show a little of my art mod for PzC - MapMod - here on the Blitz to... I honestly don't know why I haven't already done so before. Anyway, check out the screenshots below if you are in the mod for a mod.
And you can find all the info you can chew, together with downloads if you so choose, at:

Thanks,
Jison

RE: MapMod
Thank you very much for your superb mods. Your improvements make the game much clearer, with easier to understand terrain features and an aesthetic background, all of which make the game much more enjoyable to play. You are an artist in this medium.

RE: MapMod
Looks beautiful. Couple of questions though.
- I am playing Sicily at the moment and understanding elevation is crucial.
Can you still highlight elevation changes?
- Does it only apply to level 2 zoom? What happens at level 1?
- If I want to protect my old set up so I can revert if I want to, what files do I have to copy/rename?
Thanks for the help.

RE: MapMod
Andrew, if you want a security copy only unzip the mod in a folder, open map folder, search the archives in the original and cut it to another folder, or do as me, install mod in a copy of the original game.
Ummmm elevations in the mod are dificult to see because isnt the old hard diference between elevations, dark brown, yellow..... but you have contours :whis:
All is a question of made "experiments" for example i "create" the blue luftwaffe and the german grey (move luftwaffe grey counters to the german nation) and customize many other counters :stir:

RE: MapMod
Andrew: As Xaver said, you can still highlight elevation changes. MapMod is a visual mod only and never tamper with any game functions, scenarios or oob-files. This also means you can continue with your ongoing games without any problems.
The mod apply to the 2D Normal View - other zoom levels keep the original graphic.
And I agree with Xaver on this, the easiest way to try out the mod would be to simply make a copy of the original game folder, make new shortcuts to it and then install the mod to this copy.
If you want to backup your old set by renaming anyway, you can check the MapMod file to see what files it contains - as this can vary depending on the title - and then rename the same files in the original before you install.
Hope this helps a bit.
