Strategies?

In the units menu there is something called Strategies. What does this do? Does it effect how the AI plays?

No, it is related to giving you the player options in deployment of reinforcements. The scenario designer creates them, giving you choices as to where to deploy groups of units, or in some cases to not deploy the units at all. Or as was done in the Korea '85 game, there is a scenario where you can bring on reinfocements but if you do the enemy side gets more reinforcements also, or you leave them off and he loses his extra group. Very useful item in the right situation, but not heavily used in most of the games as it doesn't fit what is happening in many cases.
