9 year anniversary
Does anyone remember getting one of these emails?

Welcome to the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club.

This is just a short letter to let you know that we have recieved your
submission to the club. You will be added to the ladders of your choice
shortly, If you do not see your name appearing on the Ladders you have
chosen within a few days, then please contact one of us and let us know.
Understand that we enter all Information for the Ladders in the club
manually and sometimes real life just gets in the way.....

But the advantage is you never have to worry about our Database going down
and staying down for months on end......
We Strive continually to make this the Best Wargaming Club on the
Net.....Not to mention the Friendliest too :-)

One thing you will notice is the lack of Ad Banners....The Blitz is 100%
Commercial Free, always has been....always will be...No Sponsors, No Ad's,
No pressure...... :-)

All expenses for the Club come Directly from the "Not so Deep" pockets of
the Ownership.......... ;-)

Costs for the Server to Host Us, Costs for the registration of the Domain
Name, and the cost of prizes for the Tournaments.....

The only thing that even comes close to earnings to Keep the Club in motion
is the One Banner you will see throughout the Club....that is the "Chips &
Bits" Banner.....

Chips & Bits is one of the better Gaming Software re-sellers on the
Net....They are Dependable, Honest, and Hassle free, not mention they have
been around the longest......

If you click on this banner when your ready to order any Gaming software
over the Net.....And you order it through the Club from "Chips &
Bit's".....Then for every sale made to Blitz Members "Chip's & Bits" gives
us 8% of the sale price....

It's not much but it serves a couple of purposes:

1. It helps supplement the Costs of running the Club.....

2. It lets you Buy Games at pretty decent prices and maybe you can even
find that game you've been lookin' high and low for.....

Ok thats all the Sales Pitch you'll ever get from us.....Now on to the
Important stuff.....Gaming :-)

If you have questions about anything concerning the Club or the Individual
Ladders, maybe a Suggestion or complaint, hey even some praise for the Club
owners and Staff who do all of this voluntarily please contact the one of
the appropriate folks below:

Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club Owners:

Brian Wynott [email protected]

As of this email please consider yourself a member of the club.

To find an opponent either email people from the ladder or drop a note onto
the message boards letting people know your interest, your game, and your
email address. You should have no problem finding anyone to play against.

If you would like to contribute anything to the Web site please do. There
are many areas of the site where we get material from the Club
Members...ie... After Action Reports, CSI Reports, Strategy Articles,
Scenarios, the Tanker's Laager, and many other areas.

On Behalf of the Club Owners Brian Wynott & Jim Mays
And The Rest of the Bitzkrieg Staff

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

“You've changed so much. I guess that's what happens. I wish you knew how much you changed me. I wonder if I changed you, if your life is different because of me. Because mine's different. My God, you taught me so much, and now we don't even talk to each other. I guess that's what happens.”

RE: 9 year anniversary
LOL, I certainly do remember getting a similar email Randy. Although I'm quite certain I couldn't produce mine. And I remember making all those changes to the data base manually. Man, that was time consuming. We were a wee bit smaller back then.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
