Online with Vista

I'm on my way to the Matrix forums but while I'm digging around over there wonder if anyone has seen the following problem when trying to play CS online.

I attempted both host and caller.
I have Windows XP, my friend Vista.
No luck when I was the Modem Host via TCP/IP. Tried with Anti-Virus program both on and off.

A little better luck when I was Modem Caller. I could see the WF Session but when I tried to join I got the unknown to me until recently "Join error".
My friend turned off the Vista firewall.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I had taht problem because i use vonage but then i did something to my port fowarding option on the motarola and now it works great

Thanks. I saw a post on port forwarding in the Matrix forums. Will look into it.
